The Plan / FAQ’s

Location

Private location in the grounds of a Manor House in Somerset. Exact address details will be messaged to you 7 days before the event ….

This is invitation only and we must stress - location when released must be kept secret, it's a friends only party :-)

Times

Site is open from Friday 15th July from 15:00, until Monday 18th July at 12:00

Travel

For planning, aim for Yeovil. Parking on-site is free and there are loads of spaces

Trains

The Location is only an hour’s train journey from London to Castle Cary station, and then a easy drive from the station to our site, trains run frequently. There are no Ubers in Yeovil so we’d suggest pre-booking a cab from Castle Cary or checking in with other guests in the whatsapp group to see if you can hitch a ride

Taxis
Taxi companies - Mums Taxis (07711 572038)
Craigs Cabs (
07563 612473)

Cost

Passes are £90 for the whole weekend inclusive. We’re running this as a complete no profit, with everything going into the party, and most coming from our own pockets to keep the costs down for everyone. We simply just want you to come and enjoy yourself and get wild for a long weekend together

By buying a pass to come it helps to pay a small way towards the high costs associated - house costs, food, entertainment, equipment, even down to the boring stuff like the portaloos and a myriad of other things that make getting a lot of humans in one place a thing!

Passes

Wristbands will be provided to everyone who buys a pass and issued when you arrive on site. Please wear them at all times! This is so we have some form of security of knowing who’s who

Plus ones must be pre-approved, get in touch if you want to invite someone first, we’re limited on no’s but we’ll try and accommodate

Schedule

We’d prefer to keep the schedule a bit of a mystery so we can surprise you along the way…You’ll find the schedule on arrival on our festival board, along with a site map
However - you can now see our Line up on the site menu

Alcohol

BYOB!!!! There are zero restrictions on how much you can bring but we are not running a bar so, bring enough to last you three days (and then some!) There’s a big tesco nearby and a petrol station if you need a top-up when you’re sober.

We are running a mystery house cocktail so we’d really encourage everyone to bring a communal bottle of plain or fruity gin each so we can keep this going throughout the weekend

Food

We’re only a tiny event - so as with a normal festival please bring food to keep you going throughout the days. There are catering facilities on-site, fridges, ovens, freezers as well as pantry storage.

However, we have specifically chosen a site that is decently connected to nearby supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, drive-thru’s, and diners by car or on foot. As in the spirit of Burning man, if anyone fancies being a culinary genius and putting a meal together for an evening, please let us know!

Here is our plan:

Friday
Potluck Buffet (From 5pm till 8pm)

On Friday we are asking everyone to please bring a dish ( in a plastic sealed container ) to contribute to the Pot Luck Buffet - a great way to meet others and try a wider variety of food.  Please do not bring just a quiche! As soon as you arrive, please say hello to me or Schmo and pop your food over to us so that we can get it on the buffet table (or keep it cool in the fridges)

Saturday
BBQ (From 2pm till 5pm)

We will be doing a big communal BBQ on Saturday, we will provide meat and vegan options to choose from. Please do feel free bring some of your own preferred meat/veggie options to BBQ after our allotted time.  (These can be stored in the fridges till Saturday)

Menu
Sausages
Vegan Burgers

Sides/Additions
Selection of baps and buns
Salads
Cold pasta’s
Vegan Coleslaw
Jacket Potatoes

Sunday
Pizza
 (From 2pm till 5pm)

We will be ordering in a good amount of pizza from a local restuarant, there is a wood fired pizza oven on site if you are feeling creative. If you’ve got any intolerances make sure to let us know

Breakfast options

Please bring your own - You know what to bring!   We will provide normal milk, plant milks, Sugar, Tea and Coffee.  Some Fresh Local bread will also be available.

Nearby Shops & Food Options

A couple of Fast food outlets and a Pub are all close by if you really feel you need to leave the site. There is a pub within a 10 minute walk door to door if you want a hearty lunch off-site, and big Tesco a 15 minute drive.

Accomodation

Camping
Camping is free with your pass for the three days. There is a camping area right next to the house, so easy access to get to your stuff. There are camping toilets and showers with nice hot water adjacent to the campsite and portaloos adjacent to the house too. Please bring towels and toiletries as you would at a regular festival.

Camper Vans
Campervans are also free to park up on site, please just let us know if you’d like to do this

Hotels & Glamping

If you’d rather not camp, there are a one or two beds that may come available in the house, if you’re interested please talk to Sophie or Schmo. The rooms come at an additional cost to help towards the party.

There is a local Inn a ten minute walk / 5 min drive, with prices from £100 per night if you would rather stay further afield!

Power

There may be a designated phone charge point or two in the house but we expect these to be pretty busy so we’d strongly advise bringing a power bank to charge your phones throughout the weekend. The house will be locked up at night too, so don’t leave valuables around

Furry friends & kids

We don’t want your lovely children or furry pals to get into mischief so would ask you to leave them at home this time. It’s also importantly a chance for you to have a break away and let loose.

Toiletries

We may not be in Black Rock Desert, but we are in the English countryside, so please bring everything you will need to keep yourself clean and tidy. If you’re camping, please bring your own towels and shampoo etc. There are hot showers in the camping area a 2m walk from the camp ground just next to the toilets.

Accesibility

Most of the activities take place on the ground floor level of the house and grounds. There is a secret part of the site open late hours that is not easily accessible to less able-bodied people. If you have any concerns please PM Sophie who can better advise and help

Can’t wait to see you!
